Mountain range

 Hello everyone again. In this post I will be teaching you how to paint mountain range in a very easy way. Now get your paints, paintbrush and some water. Now get some black paint and make some diagonal lines going in the same direction, next to each other. Now then go to the right and make more diagonal lines going the opposite direction. Your mountain range will look better if the lines are different sizes. Now get some white and blue paint. Put a little bit of blue and white paint on the lines. Now if you did it correctly you will now have a nice mountain range. Now bye!

Leaves

                                                                          This is a special post about leaves. Do not stop reading now, you may think leaves are just part of a plant but there is more. Leaves actually give food to the plant. It is called photosynthesis, this is the process of how leaves make food. The leaves collect sunlight from the sun and the roots collect water from the ground when it rains. Then the stem takes the water from the roots to the leaves. Something in the leaf which is called chlorophyll combines the water and sunlight into something called glucose. Glucose is a type of sugar, plants eat. Yup plants eat sugar. I hope you now think there is more to leaves than just part of a plant. Bye!

Mo math

      Hello everyone, sorry it has been a long time since I post anything new. But yesterday my class went on a field trip. It was our first one of the year, we went to the museum of mathematics also known as mo math. My favorite part of the trip was when I could connect shapes and make even bigger shapes. The shapes you could use were dinosaurs, monkeys, octagon and diamonds. Someone made a giant sun, just using monkeys. We went back to school to eat lunch. My lunch was muffins, some kind of spicy and little chips and a tangerine. Phew, that was a long day. Now I just want to go home. Bye!

Snowflake experiment

     

Today my class did an experiment to see what makes a snowflake fall faster or slower. On the left you can see a paper snowflake, me and my friend Mandy. When everyone finished their paper snowflake my teacher took them. All of the snowflakes at to start on top of a meter stick which was on a chair. Mine was not the fastest. Three snowflakes fell less than one second! It turns out snowflakes with giant holes in the middle of them fall faster and snow flakes fall slower when they lay down flat and has a lot of surface. They fall faster with a sharp point and with a skinny surface and that is it. Read my next post to see how I make snowflakes. Bye! 

School show

   

              Today is the winter show. Monday was our last rehearsal, it is Thursday. My class is performing the Debka Hora, if you had not heard of the debka hora it is a song. The lyrics are pretty much just li li li and la la. They just wanted to make a song that will be nice or fit with the dance they created. That was what my music teacher said oh and my music teacher is going to lead us to the stage. This is actually my first play in this school. I was actually new to this school, my old school was PS 105 and PS 124. I spend first grade and kindergarten in PS 105 and second grade in PS 124. But in the middle of second grade my family moved to sunset park school and that is how I got here. But back to the play, my class waited in 209 for our turn. We were second on stage, everything went smoothly. We went in to a room called the wings to sneak up on to the stage. My mom was there, she thought the show was pretty simple. That was pretty much all that. But there are more exiting things to come, just keep reading my blog!

Art tricks

  Yesterday my dad taught me some cool art tricks for flowers while using paint. One way is placing your paintbrush flat on the paper. You see it looks like a duck feet. Just keep spreading it evenly around in a certain order. You see if you did it correctly you now have a nice flower. Now make the stem, the stem looks better when you make it curve. Also make the leaves on the stem a bit curve, of course this is optional you do not have draw leaves. Another trick is keep dabbing little spots of paint,make sure to leave a little bit of space between the paint. Then put other dabs of paint in the blank spots, make sure these are not the same color. Finally put even tinier spots of yellow on top of the spots in the blank.
